These things always get me to thinking about my childhood. I was bullied. At the time people just called it “mean kids” . Bullying was a word only meant for kids who beat up other kids, it wasn’t as widespread at today, but only because the advances in the world have made it easier to bully someone 24/7. Most people don’t unplug from the world around them, I am guilty of that, so its truly impossible to get away from it all.

Sadly nowadays,  if someone really wants to, they can reach you just to hurt you, be it in a text, an email, a Facebook message, a twitter comment, etc. I would say don’t listen to them but I know how hard it can be. I know the feeling of just hearing what people say over and over in your head even in the comfort and safety of your home.

I know what its like to just be so so sad you don’t think you can make it and you just KNOW no one is there to help. I know those feelings. Thats not so say I have gone through the same struggles as you have, everyone is different, everyone has their own unique situations that shape who they are today. Bottom line is you are human, you are NOT your color, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or anything else anyone may chose to pick on you for. You are a human like any other, you have feelings, needs, and you have the same red blood running though your veins as anyone else.
When I see someone committed suicide all I can really think of is how much pain that person must have been in. When you read those stories you see that sometimes people around them had no idea, or they knew the person was sad but didn't think it would happen. Most people around me don't know what goes through my head because I chose not to alarm them, sometimes there are sad thoughts up there. I know there are more people that will never open up than there are ones that will and can seek help. My hope is to just reach one person and tell them there IS someone out there to listen that is unbiased should they need one. People at times don't want to reach for help because of the stigma that comes with it, or because of how others will see you. I know sadness is not something that just goes away for some people, and I know that smiles don't always mean you're ok. I know there is no magical snapping of fingers that makes all your problems go away but maybe just having someone who understands this and isn't telling you to get over it might just be the little ray of sunshine coming through the clouds that you need to make it though today.

I want this to be a safe place where you can share your thoughts, concerns, deepest fears, anything you feel comfortable sharing, anonymously or not. I will reply if you'd like or I'll just listen. All you need to know is I AM HERE FOR YOU.
